What kind of photographer am I?

I’m a natural newborn and family photographer based in New Malden, South West London. The ‘natural’ in my description means I use natural light, natural environment - be it your home or one of the stunning parks nearby. I strive to capture your family in the most natural way, its dynamics, emotions you share, your love for each other and those precious moments passing by. I am patient and relaxed, I love babies and children and fully understand their personalities - good and bad days included. I don’t mind crying newborns or clingy toddlers, neither do I mind introverted or extraverted natures, I love freezing moments of families just being together.

Where will my family or children session be held?

Family sessions can be either held at home or in one of the stunning parks in the area - Richmond Park, Nonsuch Park or Cannizaro Park.

Where will my newborn session be held?

Your newborn session will be held at convenience of you own home, your bedroom (or baby’s bedroom if they have one.) I would need to have a quick look how bright your rooms are, given I work with natural, available light. If any room seems too dark we may move to another one for best results.

How long will the session be?

Your newborn session should last around 2 hours, leaving plenty of time for changing and feeding and some extra cuddles.

Family sessions will last no longer than 1.5 hours.

What will the session be like?

The word (and world!) I’m looking for is: relaxed. We’ll chat a bit, I will want to meet and chat to the children, You can ask me any questions and I will be happy to discuss anything that our emails didn’t cover.

For indoor sessions, I may have a quick look at the room or rooms where the session will be held to check natural available light.

For Family Session held in the park we will walk to some scenic spots and see what family positions and set up works best for you. Then we’ll start shooting.

Who can I bring to the session?

My sessions are for the immediate family members: parents and their children (pets welcome, too.) Should you wish to bring additional members of family, please consult it with me prior to the session, as soon as possible.

How do I prepare my house for the newborn session?

Generally the less visual distractions and clutter, the better. Whichever room the session is being held at you can grab all clutter and transfer to a basket or to another room. As soon as we are finished, you can move it all back.

What should I wear?

Something comfortable yet simple, something that you feel good in and timeless. Avoiding logos or bright colours is advisable. For family sessions coordinating colours and clothes always look great, but you may as well choose to wear similar clothing, which is fine. I created a Pinterest board with coordinating clothing colours examples, do have a look here: Pinterest Board

How far our are you booked?

Usually 3 weeks in advance, although I may have occasional extra space earlier. However, when you’re booking a newborn session or Fresh 48, do contact me in your last trimester of pregnancy. Babies can surprise us with their arrival! I will keep dates open around your due date.

What is the best time to plan a newborn session?

Ideally when your baby is between 3 to 14 days old to capture their fresh skin wrinkles and curled, womb-like position.

Will I get the digital photos from my session?

Yes, I offer all photos from the session in digital format, high definition, ready for printing or creating wall art. The minimum number of photos depends on the particular session you book, but usually there are much more than this.

How can I order prints and products from you?

By contacting me directly. For newborn, family and children session there’s complimentary album included in the price. The album consist of 20 high quality paper pages. For other product options, please drop me an email do discuss range and pricing.
